The challenge
Leaves are the easy part. What they leave behind is tannin and organic load that keeps the water cloudy long after the surface looks clear.
What we did
Net the surface, vacuum the floor to waste rather than through the filter, shock and clarify, then run and backwash the filter until the water clears and holds.
The result
Clear water and a floor you can see, with the filter still clean at the end of it.
